Propranolol for treating anxiety?

Does anybody know of the effectiveness or benefits of the use of propranolol for treating anxiety (panic attack)?

yes,i take them for identical problem.they will gradually decrease that awful racy internal feeling you get when an attack happens by slowing the heart rate down.i have not had any bad side effects,weight is stable,no bloated feelings,above all i feel calmer than i have done in years.i do hope it works for you to.just one thing you might feel as if you are in the land of nod occasionally,but thats no bad thing for our condition.best wishes.
