ANXIETY!?!!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

hi, i think i am suffering from derealization. i smoked alot high quality pot about 5 weeks ago from a aqua lung.. in the past before that. i smoked pot from time to time..while i was high, i had a major panic or anxiety attack. it Thought i was going to die, my heart was beating fast, i had major shortness of breath.. i was tripping out.. 7 weeks from my experience i have been feeling derelization symptoms. i know that i am real and all that, it’s sort of like.. im not recognizing things, i know what things are..but i am not really recognizing them, i thought i was getting better but, it just hit me again now, and i think i am starting to get anxiety again..i am getting shortness or breath and some other symptoms. it is very hard to explain it’s scary… i am scared i might have gotten depersonalization disorder, is this anxiety? i know that my mom and sisters have had problems with anxiety. is this just temporary? i am going to tell my parents and go to a doctor if i dont feel better in 2 weeks. and when i do..i dont want to tell them about the weed i just wanna say that, i had a panic attack awhile ago and i havent felt the same since.. would that be alright, would i get the same diagnoses?

all answers are greatly appreciated

p.s. i have not smoked pot since my experience, and dont telll me to go to a doctor or therapist..

i don’t know about the rest of it but if you go to a doctor you need to tell him about the weed it will effect the diagnoses

I need to act as though I have severe anxiety. I’m at college studying drama and performing arts and it’s crucial for this new role. I’m acting the part of a troubled middle age man who suffers with anxiety and Bipolar disorder. Any tips?

I have a anxiety disorder so if I was you I would be really happy and jolly then sudden outburst with anger at someone or something when something happens, when you are anxious you feel like you are excited about something, remember a time like this then remember the feeling 100x more powerful, it’s horrible but if your acting. You have to shake a lot, be clumsy, talk shakily, move around a lot and try to always sit down. Hope this helps you!

What anxiety medication do you take and how did you first know you needed medication?

i knew that i needed help when i didn’t feel right. i told my husband that something was wrong. i wound up in the nearest hospitals psych ward. it was a psychiatrist that diagnosed me and placed me on medications. i suffer from several mental problems and take many different meds so i am not sure which i take for anxiety but it does help. you need a psychiatrist to help you decide the problem and the correct treatment for you. there a lot of new meds out there that are very good and don’t have the nasty side effects that the older meds have. Right now Ive been suffering from the worst anxiety that Ive ever experienced. Its to the point if I go to the store and its my turn in line to pay for my things I get an anxiety attack and start shaking with my nerves. It also hurts very bad. My back and neck are in pain as well as my chest. I feel like my life is horrible. I cant go on another day with this problem. I just need help but don’t have money or insurance to seek real help.
Please Help!

How can I control my anxiety some days are worse than others?

My anxiety started in 2006 and it was really bad. I was calling the ambulance almost everyday. It was very stressful for me. Then it subsided in late 2006. Then it came back on again after I gave birth to my daughter in 2008. Since then I have been having really bad bouts of anxiety and I have called the ambulance 3 times since her birth. I feel depressed sometimes because I feel as if the anxiety is controlling me. Any Advice I would appreciate. Thanks

Jesus is the answer. Not only for you, but for myself. If I didn’t have Him I would have anxiety attacks too. Trust me. The Father is waiting. He loves you. He doesn’t want this for you anymore. He was supposed to take care of us in the first place. I know He’s there because I talk to Him alone, and I feel a peace that nobody on this earth can ever give. I cry because He fills my heart with love, and I know he loves me. It just happened last night. It’s how it should be. I’m married too, and without Jesus, I would be so depressed and suicidal. God CAN set you free of this demon controlling you. It wants to keep you under it’s control. God is much bigger, and demons are subject to The Lord. Just pray, and seek the Lord. Go to church where they pray in tounges. Ask for prayer. I’ll pray for you too. take care. God Bless you.

Anxiety and how to deal with it. I’ve been crawling in my skin for over 2 years now. Any creative ideas?

I’ve tried exercise, guided meditation, eliminating caffeine and simple sugars, anti-depressants prescribed by a psychiatrist to no avail.
Any fresh new ideas out there? Holistic meds, diet supplements, etc?
I didn’t like the meds at all so we discontinued their use about 6 months ago.
Anxiety and nervousness are one end of my issue, severe sadness and crying are at the other end.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Try to start overcoming your fears. This is very important, as it allows you to retrain your mind into letting you again believe that there isn’t a danger in going to the mall, or driving a car. You have told your mind that these things are putting your body in danger, and your body is reacting to the threat. But really, there is not a threat at the time, your mind is tricking your body. If, for instance, there was a real threat then your body would respond as necessary. This is what our bodies are designed to do.

One of the most effective methods used is deep breathing. The following exercise will physically, and mentally calm you.
Start out by breathing through your nose for a slow 3 count
Then hold your breath for a slow 3 count
And then exhale for a slow 3 count. You can do this as long as you want. It really helps.

Can anxiety develope through stress in work and relationships?

I feel like I have what people call anxiety. My heart beats really fast when I’m stressed it feels like a freakin hummingbird is in my chest and I get shaky and have trouble breathing at an even pace. I can’t focus and I’m constantly tired. I have trouble sleeping, staying asleep, and fully waking up when I need to. I’m going to go to my doctor and find out for sure but I also want to be sure this is what I have before I bring it to her. What causes anxiety?

I have anxiety issues and they can be caused by many things. What you are experiencing sounds just like what I’ve been through. It isn’t always one thing or another that causes it but can be many things. Medication and therapy have been very helpful for me and I’m sure they would be for you too.

As for sleep issues your doctor should be able to help you with that. Everyone is different and finding ways to fall asleep at night is all about what you find most relaxing and what most helps you quiet your mind from the day.

It’s good you are realizing you have this problem now and are going to do something about it. The sooner the better. Anxiety can have affect you physically if left untreated. Besides headaches and sleep loss, I used to get sick often before getting help for my anxiety because anxiety weighs on your immune system and makes you less able to fight off sickness.
