being addicted to this stuff was by far the worst period of my life…

    Think about it. If …
Think about it. If anxiety were truly real, everyone would respond with anxiety to the same or similar external stimuli. Once you grasp that anxiety and panic are illusions created by your mind, and you tell yourself that “it’s not real, it’s a lie,” your life will take a 360 and you’ll become a much happier person. Cheers.

    The fear that is …
The fear that is synonymous with anxiety is ultimately, the fear of death. Most people who suffer from anxiety disorders, subconsciously equate something like the fear of losing their job, to the fear of death.

  4. thundermuffin66 Says:

    Anxiety is not …
Anxiety is not something tangible. It’s a self-induced response to a perceived threat that is, in most cases, not real. People who suffer from anxiety disorders contrive an imaginary threat. This is a manifestation of our instinctual fight/flight survival response that is present to protect us from real dangers.

    drugs of all kinds …
drugs of all kinds are addicting, i have a grandmother who’s on at least 10 different kinds of medications, shes dependent on them and, shes losing it. they can help, but its probably better to cycle them, as they lose their potency after a while..theres all kinds of other techniques for helping you anxiety, the meds can help you through that process..god bless

    I had a panic …
I had a panic attack several weeks ago and my body was in a lot of pain for hours afterward. I had to go to the hospital. I could fall asleep, but when I woke up, I felt terribly anxious and in discomfort immediately upon regaining consciousness. Finally after 6 hours, the doctor saw me and I got .5 mg ativan and within minutes I started to feel normal again. Within 15 minutes I was anxiety and pain free. I keep a supply on hand just in case.

    I call Lorazapam my …
I call Lorazapam my “don’t kill anybody” pills. I’ve graduated from 3 to 4 mg a day to 8 mg (the alleged max) for the past 3 years through a “break your back, can’t work, loss of 80k per year, 5 foreclosures, finally getting the surgery a WC insurer denied me as my legs had been spontaneously collapsing” life experience.
They’ve been great, but at this dosage, it will take me at least six months to withdrawl.
It kills your passion for life, your libido, and remember, is extremely addictive!!!

    Ask yourself, “what …
Ask yourself, “what would I do if these pills never existed?” Would you be homeless and out of a job? Probably not.

    There was once a …
There was once a time when people didn’t take Ativan or anti-depressants and they too felt anxiety and panic, but because the “luxury” of taking a pill wasn’t available, they relied on their cognitive abilities to forget about their anxiety and carry on with their presentation/meeting/interview. The more you lean on these pills, the more you convince yourself that you actually need them.

    Yes, that is all …
Yes, that is all great advice, and all those things really do help!
But when you suffer panic attacks from being put on the spot, like presentations, interviews, meetings… then you will need extra help.
I am not for taking Ativan daily.. but the SL tabs help in the above case.

I am on Klonopin, it’s a bit stronger than Ativan, there is no happy pill! Yeah they helped for maybe 5 years, then up the dose, you either have to do things to keep it working up the dose or get off it (which is no fun whatsoever!).

Sitting here. Been on 2 doses of Ativans today, two Seroquels this afternoon, now on Seroquels x 2 tonight with my Imrest (Zopiclone) x 2 at 7.5mg & 10mg escitalopram x 2. Other option is to allow my mental health issues kill me more. This stuff helps. Just need threapy as well.

Ativan helps knock the edge off my anxiety. Just 1mg a time. Takes under an hour to kick in. But sometimes it isn’t enough and I take Seroquel, which knock me out for a few hours. But Ativan’s are good to pu tin your bag when going out and having them ready.

This stuff is amazing! I love it take 2,5mg lorazepam and the day is mine^^

    Ativan makes me …
Ativan makes me feel absofucking wonderful. I am on 2 mg’s and I take it in the morning and I can function unbelievably well through the day. I can talk to people and not feel like they’re analyzing me, I can tell my side of things and pass on my knowledge and experience to someone if they’re curious about what it is I have to say, and not second guess myself “Well maybe I’m wrong…” anymore.

This stuff works amazing for me and I can see why it’s addictive.

  18. thundermuffin66 Says:

    The sublingual …
The sublingual doses are probably the most habit forming because it’s like taking a “hit” to calm yourself down. The drug is released very quickly into the bloodstream and leaves you pretty quickly. If you’re already on paxil, why does your doctor feel that you have to take Ativan as well?

  19. thundermuffin66 Says:

    No pill will …
No pill will improve your life. Stop thinking so much…go for a walk…make your world as big as possible and surround yourself with as many people as possible. You’ll be surprised at how quickly you forget that you ever had a problem. Remember: ANXIETY IS NOT REAL. It’s a self-induced mental state where an imaginary threat is perceived. No one dies from a panic attack.

  20. thundermuffin66 Says:

    Don’t believe the …
Don’t believe the hype. This drug is a poison and will destroy your central nervous system. I had taken 1.5 mg per day for panic and anxiety and while it did work to temporarily alleviate symptoms, it made the original symptoms worse. I started to become delusional, paranoid, and violent. There is no such thing as a “happy pill.”

  21. oo1ooo1oo Says:

    A small amount of …
A small amount of ativan works brilliantly for anxiety. It doesn’t seem to make you feel so sedated and fuzzy or wobbly and floppy like valium or xanax—it just dampens the feelings of anxiety.

Some ativan before a job interview is one good example.

Felt like this saved my life

I’m recovering from panic disorder and I used to go to the emergency room A lot, my heart would beat so fast over 170 on the meter and I couldn’t stop shaking. They would inject this stuff into me and it would be the only thing to stop it.

I’m now taking only small tiny pills of it when I need it one year later, I’m happy to say I only take it maybe 1 a week now
