Do you think people with generalized anxiety disorders can become successful?
Can they have careers, as medical doctors, etc. And can they accomplish lots in life? Or is life worthless for them at this point?
it really depends on the person. many people with illness still accomplish great things. All of us has a dream whether it is something small like having a big family or a big dream like being a doctor. dreams are the things that gives us hope and strength to go on in life. Dreams get crushed sometimes but from those crushed dreams you get even more strength in order to move one try again and succeed. maybe im rambling but the point is NO one can tell you whether you can or CANNOT do something.and i really think that people with illness sometimes accomplish more then regular people if they don’t give up hope and keep trying.

It seems like you might be in your mid to late teens. it’s good to know so young. But I would suggest you get therapy along with medication, otherwise the latter might become true for you.

There are numerous time when anxiety can serve as a motivating factor to give people who, otherwise, would give in to failure, the determination to keep striving until they succeed. People who have had many challenges in life and have overcome most of them learn not to let fear of failure stand in their way. I would go as far as to say that most people who have generalized anxiety disorders are socially and often financially, successful as long as they do not allow depression to pervade their thinking.
