I am an ex sufferer of social anxiety disorder part1
I am an ex sufferer of social anxiety disorder and my friend Janey http://www.youtube.com/janeyfromkorea has kindly arranged this Q and A session for us.
I am answering questions from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtFAayZDfMw apologies if I missed a couple out, please nudge me if I have.
I am living proof that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and there is a way out of having social phobia/anxiety.
Please feel to ask more questions on this video.
Thanks
Steve

Yes If you face …
Yes If you face your fears it will go away.. I had that problem and would bug out when i was in a social group or up on stage. Just do it you are not going to die. I would start sweating and feel uncomfortable.. today i am always raising my hand in class etc. Just stop caring and know that is nothing. Also build your self esteem.

Pills, therapy, …
Pills, therapy, books about the subconcious mind etc you name it.
In my experience I can truly testify that only The Living GOD has healed me.
Medications from doctors helped me a little and it was temporary.
God’s healing power is ETERNAL!
Now Im not an antidepressant pill dependent.
The cure for fear is FAITH!
Fear limits you.
FAITH ENABLES YOU!
People, THE ALMIGHTY GOD IS YOUR ONLY HOPE.
READ THE WORD OF GOD, HAVE FAITH AND OBEY!
God loves you and He wants you to LET HIM…

i read this on …
i read this on another forum and its so true
“”Face your fears and theyll go away?”
Sorry, but this therapist does not understand the dynamics of social anxiety. We, as people with social anxiety, have constantly faced our fears ever since birth weve had to and we feel more fearful now than we did in the past”

Practise is the …
Practise is the best thing, be with other sufferers, join a local group first, then your confidence will grow and move on to bigger things.
going on courses with a large group of people is a good way to train yourself to feel less anxious around people.

Great job on answering so many of the questions on your videos. They give a good insight on the process of recovery.
