I have GAD, Panic …
I have GAD, Panic Attack Syndrome, and Dysthymia. I hate it. I am always depressed and full of fear. I always feel that death is around the corner. I am 16, and just can’t stand life. I have had 2 great depression attacks. I have a heart condition and always have dreams thinking my parents are hiding what’s really wrong with me. I dream I have a worse condition and will die soon. And I can’t tell how much of that is true.

I have been dealing …
I have been dealing with this on and off since I was a kid as well. I have taken lexapro also, and I have a small bottle of clonopin(forgive my spelling). The lexapro helped me but it took me a few weeks to get use to it and a few weeks to get off of it about a year later. It comes and goes but I’m happy to see people talking about G.A.D., instead of feeling weak or depressed. It is treatable, in time, and it can be an on and off battle.

Try taking sleepy …
Try taking sleepy time medication from the store at night. You will be groggy in the morning for the first few times but the grogginess goes away. For some odd reason it really helps me during the next day by decreasing the ruminating. I can focus on the now, read better, and be more observant, and yes way less stressed. I will be seeing a doctor about long term use and the possibility of taking this medication during the day. PS: I have tried many prescribed meds that didn’t work.

Read this book– …
Read this book– Anxiety Rescue. Also Joyce Meyers book Battlefield of the Mind. I have Social anxiety due to being made fun of too. Changing the way you think helps alot. One thing you can do Is right down every bad thought you have on one side of a piece of papper, and On the other side write down the complete oppisite. Like: Im ugly /// Im beautiful. Also putting saying around your house where you see them everyday like- I am in Control. My Attitude is my choice, I am getting better..

I think I can help a bud. I to am suffering from GAD. I have been since I got back from Iraq. I have tried every drug you listed as well, and am currently taking Effexor also. I have learned more than anything that anxiety is random and scary, but is it? not at all. If i feel it comming on, I know what it is now, and I sqash it by saying like, is that all you got, I also have learned to laugh at it, because it can be funny. In other words. My attitude is a Give a attitude toward it now

they may seem pointless at first but as time goes on you will begin to enjoy things more often. trust me when i say this anxiety is not a perment thing thier is definitly a way out and i hate to say it but doctors dont know a whole lot on the cure to anxiety so they try to give you that magic pill that doesnt quite cure you. You are the only one who can cure you.
October 27th, 2009 at 10:24 pm
hey man i really …
hey man i really like your video anxiety is cause by a long period of worry which becomes a habbit for you. you may wake up and worry before you even think. I wen facing anxiety you must not fight these thoughts but let them come through and get a hobbie or a focus to get your mind off of this your mind been worn out and is looking for a break but cant have it becasue all of your constant worry. You can dwell on this you got to get in the habit of living your life on other things

Hey, I don’t know …
Hey, I don’t know if you still feel the same way as you did when you posted this video, but I just wanna let you know some of the things that my own therapist has told me. (I also have GAD and am on an SSRI.) She basically said that if you try to get out your anger by doing something physical, it’ll raise your adrenaline and kinda get you goin’. Then you get more angry. I think she’s somewhat right, but that’s just an opinion. Do what you will with it.
