I,ve been a victim of depression and and anxiety for last 15 years.I always feel collapsed, ruined .What to do!?

Sunday, May 9th, 2010

This problem,s badly taken it,s toll on my total mental and sexual health.I consulted reputed psychiatrists and am taking regular medicatio but all in vain.

Psychiatry doesnt always look for hormone imbalances and that is the cause a lot of times, (thyroid, sex, adrenal, cortisol, dheas)according to hormone experts other than endocrinologists , who dont balance hormones anyway.
So , check out these feelingfff.com , thehallcenter.com , canaryclub.org, and call a compounding pharmacy in your area to ask them who the doctors are that balance hormones in your area.
you can also check out dr amen at amenclinics.com a neuropsychiatrist who has gone natural a lot, and tests for imbalances and other things…….

you just have not found the reason for it yet……
medications are not going to help a hormone imbalance, or something else.
I would do that, AND I would go to emofree.com ,click on learen eft and download teh free manual there and apply the powereful healing method to anything in your past, preesent, feelings, memoreies etc to resolve them and neutralize the bad ones quickly . the site has a free method until he retires soon, get it now. it really works well for many things.
YOu should also check for allergies, food sensativities, food chemical alleries, and vitamin and mineral deficiencies, oftren B12 or D………..

What am i supposed to do when i suffer from social anxiety disorder?

Sunday, May 9th, 2010

I’ve been avoiding my friends for awhile because i get socially anxious around them. I told one of my closest friend that i think i suffer from this (social anxiety disorder) and she has been nothing more than understanding, but i can’t stop but feel bad that i am driving her away from our friendship. every single time i see her i feel anxious and because of that i’ve been avoiding her. What should i do? I can’t keep avoiding her.

I suggest you email/text her talking how you feel. Then you can talk to your school guidance counselor to help you. If you ask for support from your parents, then I sure they could give some good advice on how to not be nervous.

best of luck! :)

ps. if you need something else feel free to email me. :D

Can medicine for schizophrenia be used to treat anxiety disorders?

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

My friend said she is taking her mothers medicine to treat her anxiety. Is this safe?

It’s never safe to use medicine from someone else. It is possible that Schizophrenia medications can be used to treat anxiety disorders but they also have more dangerous side effects than the traditional drugs used to treat anxiety. It is much safer to use drugs traditionally used to treat anxiety for treating an anxiety disorder.

I take clonazepam and Im really interested in statistics on use?

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

I live in Canada and have been prescribed Clonazepam for GAD and I am really interested in finding out how many people are prescribed Clonazepam. Would anyone know where I could find info on this or statistics on he number of people who take this medication?. I feel like I am the only one who needs this to function with the anxiety or the stresses of everyday life. I know im not really alone, but I think it would help to find out if this is more common that I think. Thanks for your help!

Hell, I eat it like candy, love that stuff. It’s even sweet like candy. You should see the goodness they have in Hong Kong. It’s called "Rivitrill" there. Anyway, they have these super high dose (20 mg) pills that make you feel so so loose and goooooood! Clonapin heaven! No you are NOT the only one. Hey, did you
know that diazapam (the parent drug – Valium) is the most commonly used medicine in the world? More popular than aspirin and anti-biotics. Hope that puts things into perspective.

My Social Anxiety (part 1)

Wednesday, May 5th, 2010

This is my introduction video to my Social Anxiety vlog. I have had Social Anxiety my whole life. Anxiety runs in my family so most of my anxiety is biological. I watched a few other YouTube vlogs of people with Social Anxiety and it inspired me to make my own. My Anxiety was about 3/10 when making this video. The symptoms of my panic attacks include: dry mouth, blushing, shaky hands/legs, rapid heart beat, rapid swallowing, eye watering, butterflies in stomach, sweating. Of course when all this is going on it makes it difficult to carry on a conversation, or even make eye contact. It’s a very panicky feeling and I instinctively search for a way to get out of the situation. At the time of making this video, I had just failed out my first semester as a sophomore in college. The anxiety got too high for me to handle. This is when I decided I needed to start a recovery plan. I found a therapist to talk to, but I had a lot of difficulty speaking because of the high levels of anxiety I had during the appointments. So YouTube was a way I could express myself better and still face my anxiety at the same time.

Why anger, anxiety, depression are on increase? What are the ways to reduce them?

Tuesday, May 4th, 2010

anger, anxiety, depression are on increase and ill effects are just destroying the society.
World over steps have to be taken to control & contain these anger, anxiety, depression else it will be too late.

The best way to reduce your anxiety, depression, anger, and strees :

-Take controlled breaths. One simple technique is to breathe in through your nose for 4 seconds, hold the breath for a few seconds, and then exhale through your mouth slowly. Do this for about 60 seconds a few times daily.

-Talk to a friend or acquaintance. It will help you feel connected and less anxious. DO NOT talk about what you’re anxious about – just have a regular conversation.

-Eat well. Food has more to do with our moods than we think. When our blood sugar is low, we can get crabby and tense. Don’t skip meals (especially breakfast), and choose foods with protein and complex carbohydrates, to keep your blood sugar levels even, instead of spiking and dropping.

-Cut the caffeine. Indulge in your morning cup or two, but drink only decaf beverages after lunch. Caffeine gets your adrenaline going, drains your body of calcium, and makes it more difficult to relax in the evenings. Even if you think "caffeine doesn’t affect me", it can stimulate your adrenal gland and cause adrenal fatigue, which wears you down and affects your health over time.

-Exercise. Pent up stress can eat you up from the inside. Burn off all that steam the healthy way! Just going for a walk or giving a punching bag a good beating can help release endorphins and make you feel better.

-Get an at-home Yoga DVD. If you have trouble relaxing in the evenings before bed, pop in a yoga DVD and do a good series of stretches to help your body make the transition to rest mode.

-Avoid adrenaline triggers. If you’ve had an extra stressful day, ditch the scary books and movies, or news stories that get you all worked up. Even though you may enjoy them, the key here is to reduce adrenaline, not increase it!

-Get in touch with nature. Living constantly in a concrete jungle can wreak havoc on our emotional and physical health. Find a local arboretum, conservatory, memorial garden, or a quiet spot along a beach or river that’s off the beaten path. Some churches have prayer and meditation gardens, just for this purpose.

-Get a massage. Massage is proven to improve circulation and reduce stress. Even an occasional half-hour back and neck session can work wonders.

-Take a bath. Spend a little extra time to soak and let your muscles relax. Warm water is a natural soother.

-Listen to soothing music. Grab a couple of CD’s with "Sleep" or "Relaxation" in the title.

-Confide in someone trustworthy, like a priest, pastor, counselor, best friend, or help hot line. Someone who will listen and comfort, and provide wise council without judgement. You want someone honest who will help you consider your options, not who will tell you just what you want to hear. Some things we cannot change. Others, we actually have choices about. An unhealthy relationship. A hostile work environment. Trying to keep up a style of living beyond our means. Sometimes we need another perspective to find those areas of our life where our choices can actually reduce the amount of stress in our lives.

Can anxiety/panic disorder cause hand trembling on one side?

Tuesday, May 4th, 2010

I was diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder about a month ago. I have been getting hand trembles on my left side only. All of the physical symptoms I have had seems to occur on the left side (mild abdominal cramps, occasional ear aches). Is this possible and can it be something else that I suffer from?

Anxiety causes muscle tension. So it could be the cause. I would assume that since you have been diagnosed with GAD that is what you have. There are six different anxiety disorders. For more info look in the resource box

What’s the best way to beat severe anxiety and depression?

Sunday, May 2nd, 2010

I’ve tried medication, for depression/anxiety as well as bipolar disorder, and nothing seems to be working. I’ve also tried exercise, which helps for a bit but then i cant get myself to maintain a regimine.
It’s really affecting my life, financially and otherwise. Sometimes it’s smoldering to the point that i cant even get myself out of bed. Other times it’s fine, but i’m anxious about everything no matter what. Yeah, take a chill pill. I’d like to eventually be fine without haveing to rely on medication. Any advice? Or even recommendations for meds?
i was reading through the answers thus far and i came across what ‘thebransonaffair’ (sorry if i get the username wrong) had said. It’s right, to some degree. I was diagnosed with OCD, but i didnt put much into becuase i dont have the ‘compulsions,’ unless there’s a damn good reason to– say, if i feel like i need to wash my hands… i’ll scrub the shit out of them. And what was said about questioning myself was also true.. i think this is a big problem also. I doubt myself in everything i do, and by doing so i inadvertently (or subconsciously) self-destruct.
Also, the anxiety isn’t fixed on any one thing…it just depends on the moment.

I’m sick of it.

just love all the time
